Facts Over Feelings Scoring Explained
Fantasy Five uses our own points system to convert a regular-season stat line into a balanced score.
PTS + (1.2 × REB) + (1.5 × AST) + (2 × STL) + (2 × BLK) − TOV
What the weights reward
Every point adds one FOF point. Rebounds add 1.2 and assists add 1.5. Steals and blocks add two, recognizing defense without allowing a few events to overwhelm overall production. Each turnover subtracts one.
A real example
LeBron James averaged 25.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 10.2 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 3.9 turnovers in 2019–20. The formula produces 49.46 FOF points per game.
Why totals matter
Per-game FOF points are multiplied by games played. A player with slightly lower per-game production can rank higher by remaining available across the regular season.
How the game score works
Each round names one position and historical season. First place earns 100 game points; second through fifth earn 80, 60, 40, or 20. A player outside the stored top five earns zero.
